Along with some other women, Mary Magdalene made her way to the tomb with the intention of embalming the body of Jesus according to Jewish custom. (03.04.2012) Zurich. For us, Good Friday is a day of celebration in which we honour the sacrifice of Christ in deep thankfulness and humbleness. We commemorate Jesus, who gave His blameless life for us, so that we sinful human beings could escape death, and receive eternal life with God. This day calls to mind an event that was necessary for salvation, and thus it is just as holy to us as Christmas, Easter, Ascension, and Pentecost. more ...

At this year’s Pentecost service, which will take place in Cologne on 27 May 2012, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber plans to appoint District Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider a Chief Apostle Helper. The appointment of a Chief Apostle Helper is not entirely unknown in the New Apostolic Church. (29.03.2012) When we celebrate Palm Sunday today we are following the tradition of the Christian congregation in Jerusalem. It is said that already around the year 400 this congregation would gather on the Mount of Olives and descend in procession into the city. In the divine service on Pentecost Sunday, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will appoint a Chief Apostle Helper. “I would like to set an early course for the future,” stated the international Church leader, who will turn 65 this year. This final consultation meeting was also attended by members from the project group The New Apostolic Faith (PG TNF). (16.03.2012) Zurich. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber opened the spring conference of District Apostles from around the world with a minute of silence. Shortly before, he acknowledged District Apostle Johann R. Kitching, who had passed away in a fatal accident a few short days before, only five weeks after his retirement. However this moment of silent commemoration was not only dedicated to him, but to all who had recently passed away, along with the bereaved who have remained behind.
