Pentecost 2007: 8,000 congregations connected by satellite

Zurich/Hamburg. Pentecost 2007 – a big event for the New Apostolic Church. The Church’s international president and Chief Apostle, Dr. Wilhelm Leber, will conduct a divine service on Pentecost Sunday, 27 May 2007 in the Hamburg Congress Centre. More than 7,900 New Apostolic congregations in 70 countries will be connected in both sound and picture via satellite transmission. Some 1.5 million souls will be able to take part in the divine service. The sermon will be translated into English at the altar, and from there into over 20 other languages.

Divine service via satellite and internet

Close to 8,000 New Apostolic congregations will be connected to the service by satellite. This will also be the first time that a divine service will be transmitted over the internet, principally to congregations in Asia. The Pentecost service will be transmitted to the following countries:

Africa: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, South Africa, Tanzania, Central African Republic

Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Georgia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates

Europe: Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Macedonia, Moldova, The Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, The Czech Republic, Turkey, The Ukraine, Hungary, The United Kingdom, White Russia, Cyprus

North America: Canada, USA

Oceania: Australia, New Zealand
