Change of Chief Apostle in the New Apostolic Church on Pentecost 2013

(15.01.2013) Zurich. On Pentecost Sunday, 19 May 2013, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will entrust the Chief Apostle ministry to his successor Jean-Luc Schneider, after which he himself will retire. All New Apostolic congregations around the world will be able to join in and celebrate this divine service together as a satellite transmission. Well ahead of this date, the Church leader will personally inform all New Apostolic Church members around the world of this change by way of a circular letter. Bernd Koberstein is the new District Apostle for France

(24.12.2012) Mulhouse/Zurich. An appeal from the new District Apostle Bernd Koberstein to the New Apostolic congregations in France: “Please give me the chance to love you!” It was at the end of a divine service in Mulhouse that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber entrusted him with this new task. The previous District Apostle Helper Jean-Luc Schneider had been appointed Chief Apostle Helper on Pentecost of this year and will now need to dedicate more of his attention to his international tasks. more ...

Official introduction of the New Apostolic Catechism!

(05.12.2012) Zurich. “For the first time ever, a systematic description of the New Apostolic doctrine has been developed. Naturally there have already been other works describing significant elements of the New Apostolic faith […] Nevertheless there have been increasing calls for a more comprehensive description of our doctrine.” So it says on the first page of the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church. Tshitshi Tshisekedi to be ordained a District Apostle for South East Congo

(17.10.2012) Zurich. Tshitshi Tshisekedi, who currently serves as a District Apostle Helper, will receive the District Apostle ministry for the District Church of South East Congo in January of next year. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber announced this news in the course of the International District Apostle Meeting in Herzliya, Israel. District Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider will thereby transfer responsibility for the care of one of the largest New Apostolic District Churches in the world in order to dedicate himself increasingly to his tasks as a Chief Apostle Helper. more ...

District Apostle Bernd Koberstein will now also lead the District Church of France

(02.09.2012) Zurich. Jean-Luc Schneider has led the District Church of France since September 2004 as District Apostle. Now he is to be relieved of this task in order to dedicate more of his time to the tasks of a Chief Apostle Helper. Succeeding him as District Apostle in France is District Apostle Bernd Koberstein. A corresponding letter was read out this morning after the divine services in the congregations of France and the European congregations of District Apostle Koberstein’s working area. more ...

Rainer Storck to be appointed District Apostle Helper

(23.08.2012) Zurich /Dortmund. District Apostle Armin Brinkmann will soon receive assistance: Apostle Rainer Storck will in future stand at his side as a District Apostle Helper. The appointment is scheduled to take place during the Thanksgiving service on 7 October 2012, when the international Church leader, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, is expected in Duisburg. New Chief Apostle Helper to be appointed on Pentecost 2012

In the divine service on Pentecost Sunday, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will appoint a Chief Apostle Helper. “I would like to set an early course for the future,” stated the international Church leader, who will turn 65 this year. The date when he himself will retire remains open—perhaps in 2013 or 2014—however the work of a Chief Apostle Helper will already lighten his load quite perceptibly now. more ...

Work on the content of the Catechism is complete

(17.03.2012) Zurich. At today’s meeting, the International District Apostle Meeting came to a final decision on the German text of the Catechism. This final consultation meeting was also attended by members from the project group The New Apostolic Faith (PG TNF). District Apostle Kitching set to retire at the end of January

(16.10.2011) Johannesburg/Zurich. Today District Apostle Johann R. Kitching informed the members in the District Church of South East Africa about his planned retirement. In a broadcast on the Church-owned television channel known as “NAC-TV” the District Apostle stated that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the international Church leader, will conduct a festive divine service at the end of January 2012 and transfer the task of leading the District Apostle district of South East Africa to a successor. more ...

International Day of Prayer for Peace 2011: Let us strive for peace!

(02.09.2011) Zurich. September is a month of commemoration: on 11 September, the attacks on the USA will lie ten years behind us. On 21 September is the International Day of Prayer for Peace. On this occasion, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the leader of the New Apostolic Church, is once again calling on all congregations to join in prayers for peace around the world. This year the UN-sponsored Day of Prayer for Peace is being held under the motto: “Make your voice heard!” The Chief Apostle has asked all New Apostolic congregations around the world to participate in this event. more ...
