(03.08.2007) Zurich. Apostle Shadreck Mundia Lubasi is to become the new District Apostle Helper for East Africa. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will carry out this appointment in a divine service scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in November. The Chief Apostle relates that this is a first step in the creation of the new District Apostle District of East Africa, which is to be established over the course of the next few years. This district will include the East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
(25.07.2007) Estes Park, Colorado. On Friday, July 20, the international church president, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber arrived in Denver, Colorado. He was accompanied by District Apostles Theodoor deBruijn (Netherlands), Hagen Wend (Germany) and Richard Freund (USA). The group traveled by bus to the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park to attend the annual NAC USA Youth Day.
(25.07.2007) Yogyakarta. At the beginning of July 2007 Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber visited Indonesia. This was the third and last stop on his trip to Australia, the South Pacific, and Asia. After a 22-hour trip, the travellers reached the hotel in Bandung at around midnight. Meetings in the Bandung church administration were scheduled for the next day.
(02.07.2007) Sydney. A blessed weekend in Sydney, Australia ended with a festive divine service in the Hills Centre on Sunday. On Monday, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber travelled onward to the Fiji Islands. Before going to the hotel he visited the village of Natalau, where a divine service is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. The Chief of the Village, who is Muslim, welcomed the guest of honour with a traditional “Fiji Welcome.”
(11.12.2006) Scarborough/Ontario. Close to 100 musicians and choir members from the New Apostolic Church presented on Saturday, November 11, 2006, a Remembrance Day benefit concert for "Variety - The Children's Charity". They presented, in the beautiful auditorium of the Birchmount Park Collegiate, various choral and classical pieces from F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, A. Dvorak, and many more, to the enjoyment of about 600 people.
(11.12.2006) Namibia. “Freedom from Fear” was the theme for the Day of the Child divine service conducted by District Apostle Noel Barnes for the Sunday school children of Southern Namibia. On the Saturday prior to the service the children gathered at a sport and recreational facility to enjoy some outdoor games.
November session of the European District Apostle Meeting recommends more opportunities for children and youth
(17.11.2006) Zurich. Twice each year the District Apostles of the New Apostolic District Churches of Europe assemble for a European District Apostle Meeting. The group’s session on 15 November 2006 resulted in some general statements on various subjects, including financial decisions and collaboration in certain soul-care projects.
(17.11.2006) Ushuaia. The “land of fire” lies in the southernmost tip of the South American continent. More precisely, the Tierra del Fuego is not a “land” at all, but rather a group of many islands separated from the mainland by the Magellan Strait. Ushuaia, a provincial capital with some 65,000 inhabitants, is home to the southernmost New Apostolic congregation in the world. On Tuesday, 7 November 2006, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber conducted a divine service there.
(14.11.2006) São Paulo. With a surface area of 8.5 million square kilometres, Brazil is the fifth-largest country on earth. On account of the great distances that need to be covered, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained another Apostle to help in the work of the District Churches of Brazil and Bolivia. The new Apostle is the hitherto Bishop Geraldino Aires (58), who will in future work in northern Brazil.
(12.11.2006) Buenos Aires. “Hasta luego – Till we meet again!” It was with these words that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, leader of the New Apostolic Church International, took leave of his brethren in faith in Argentina. He and a number of District Apostles had been travelling through the South American continent for some two weeks. A new District Apostle was ordained in Argentina.
