Leonard Kolb is new District Apostle for the USA
(13.10.2008) New York. Leonard R. Kolb (52) will from now on lead the New Apostolic Church USA as new district apostle. Before his ordination the former district apostle Richard Freund (68) was placed into retirement by chief apostle Wilhelm Leber. "You have faithfully served the Lord for more than 50 years. Let me say thank you." In the Tilles Center in New York some 1,000 attendees witnessed this particular service, other communities in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland were connected via satellite. Es waren Worte des Abschieds, die Stammapostel Wilhelm Leber, internationaler Leiter der Neuapostolischen Kirche, am Ende der zweitägigen Herbsttagung der weltweiten Bezirksapostelversammlung in New York aussprach. Und das in zweierlei Hinsicht: Zunächst gedachte das Kirchenoberhaupt an den kürzlich verstorbenen Bezirksapostel Norberto Batista aus Buenos Aires, Argentinien. Alle Anwesenden erhoben sich für eine Schweigeminute von ihren Plätzen. Dann stand Bezirksapostel Richard Freund (68) im Mittelpunkt, der zum letzten Mal an einer internationalen Beratung teilnahm. Am Sonntag, 12.10.2008, wechselte er nach 50 Jahren Amtstätigkeit in den Ruhestand. [more]
An Awesome Weekend in Saskatoon, Canada

Chief Apostle Leber made an impressive visit to Saskatoon, Canada, during the weekend of October 4 and 5, 2008, where he held a Ministers’ and Wives’ Service on the Saturday, and conducted a Thanksgiving and Church Dedication Service on the Sunday in the Saskatoon Central church with seating for 175 in the main auditorium. He was accompanied by District Apostles Latorcai (Canada) and Andersen (Australia), and District Apostle Helpers Deppner (DR Congo), Hebeisen (Philippines), and Dzur, Sobottka and Woll (Canada). District Apostle Meeting Africa focused on strategic topics

All District Apostles and District Apostle Helpers of the New Apostolic Church who are active on the African continent met up on Wednesday, 8 October 2008 in New York for a District Apostle Meeting on Africa. The agenda topics scheduled for discussion were, for the most part, of a strategic nature. Thus for example, the participants occupied themselves with questions about the future development of the larger New Apostolic centres of Zambia, East Africa, and Congo. [more]
“I am striving for a kind of reconciled partnership”

Last Sunday, 28 September 2008, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber assembled the European ministers of the New Apostolic Church, along with their wives, for a special divine service. A satellite signal carried the service from the church in Herne-Wanne-Eickel (North Rhine-Westphalia) into over 550 congregations throughout Europe (we reported). District Apostle Norberto Batista has passed away
(30.09.2008) Zurich/Buenos Aires. Yesterday - Monday, 29 September 2008 - Argentine District Apostle Norberto Batista passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to heart failure. He was 57 years of age, and is survived by his wife and two children. On 5 November 2006, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber had ordained him into the District Apostle ministry in a divine service inBuenos Aires. [more]

Every two years, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the leading minister of the New Apostolic Church, assembles all ministers and wives from all over Europe for a special divine service. Yesterday, this long-awaited divine service took place in the church in Herne-Wanne-Eickel (North Rhine-Westphalia), from where it was transmitted to more than 550 European congregations. International Day of Prayer on 21 September
(12.09.2008) Zurich. Once again the New Apostolic Church will engage in worldwide prayers on the occasion of the International Day of Prayer on 21 September. This year, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber has given the event a special accent: he is calling upon his brethren in faith to pray especially for all baptised Christians who are being persecuted or killed on account of their faith in the triune God and their profession of their Redeemer Jesus Christ.
