Anatolij Budnik ordained Apostle for the Ukraine

(10.02.2009) Memmingen. “Here in Memmingen we are witnessing an historic moment, because today the first Apostle will be ordained for the Ukraine.” These were the words that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, international leader of the New Apostolic Church, addressed to a joyfully expectant congregation last Sunday, 08 February 2009, before proceeding with the ordination of Anatolij Budnik — a 52-year-old doctor from Lvov — to the Apostle ministry. District Apostle Urs Hebeisen now leads the New Apostolic Church in South East Asia

(20.01.2009) Yogyakarta/Zurich. An era has come to an end: for 23 years, District Apostle Alfons Tansahtikno was responsible for the New Apostolic Church in Indonesia. As of Sunday, 18 January 2009 he will enjoy a richly deserved retirement. His successor in ministry is District Apostle Urs Hebeisen (56) who will now not only lead the Church inIndonesia, but also many other countries of South East Asia. [En savoir plus]

Bernd Koberstein is ordained a District Apostle of the New Apostolic Church

(12.01.2009) Frankfurt. The name of the new leader of the New Apostolic Church of Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland is Bernd Koberstein. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained him a District Apostle yesterday in Frankfurt. Before the ordination, the Chief Apostle discharged his predecessor in ministry, District Apostle Hagen Wend, into retirement with festive words. So it is that the New Apostolic Church in Central Germany—which also serves another 20 New Apostolic District Churches in Southern Europe, Northern and Western Africa, as well as the Near and Middle East—has been given a new spiritual leader. NAC Portugal has its own website

(05.01.2009) Lisbon. The New Apostolic Church in Portugal has presented itself on its own website since the end of 2008. As a result, we can now also give our Portuguese-speaking readers some insight into the doctrine and organisation of the Church. International Day of Prayer on 21 September

(12.09.2008) Zurich. Once again the New Apostolic Church will engage in worldwide prayers on the occasion of the International Day of Prayer on 21 September. This year, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber has given the event a special accent: he is calling upon his brethren in faith to pray especially for all baptised Christians who are being persecuted or killed on account of their faith in the triune God and their profession of their Redeemer Jesus Christ. 100,000 Euros earmarked for flood regions in Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe

(22.02.2008) Lusaka. As reported, the regions around the Zambezi and other large rivers of Eastern Africa have been devastated by floods for weeks. District Apostle Charles Ndandula from Lusaka (Zambia) has asked Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber for assistance. In the meantime, the Church leader has initiated emergency relief measures, and has requested “NAK-karitativ” to take up direct contact with the Church office in Lusaka. [En savoir plus]

Information Evening on 4 December 2007: A Documentation

(04.12.2007) Zurich. On 4 December 2007 an information evening of the New Apostolic Church took place in Zurich. It dealt with Church-internal topics of both greater and lesser significance. The transmission was sent via satellite from the communications centre of the international head office of the New Apostolic Church in Zurich to around 1,400 congregations in 18 countries of Europe. On location in Frankfurt: film sequences for “Image DVD” are in the box

(15.11.2007) Frankfurt. It was a cool autumn day. Nevertheless some 60 New Apostolic members from Frankfurt assembled on a sports field on the first Saturday of November in order to begin shooting some of the scenes for the new multimedia DVD of the New Apostolic Church International. The new means of advertising is scheduled to be completed by the middle of next year, and is being developed under the working title “Image DVD.” It will contain film scenes, animated info-clips, photos, and text. Worldwide prayers for peace

(11.09.2007) Zurich. Again this year the New Apostolic Church will take part in the “International Day of Prayer for Peace,” which has been celebrated around the world for four years now, traditionally on 21 September. The World Council of Churches has called upon its approximately 350 member churches to offer up prayers for peace on this day. Already two years ago, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber asked the New Apostolic congregations around the world for their commitment to this cause. [En savoir plus]

Pentecost 2007: 8,000 congregations connected by satellite

(24.05.2007) Zurich/Hamburg. Pentecost 2007 – a big event for the New Apostolic Church. The Church’s international president and Chief Apostle, Dr. Wilhelm Leber, will conduct a divine service on Pentecost Sunday, 27 May 2007 in the Hamburg Congress Centre. More than 7,900 New Apostolic congregations in 70 countries will be connected in both sound and picture via satellite transmission. Some 1.5 million souls will be able to take part in the divine service. The sermon will be translated into English at the altar, and from there into over 20 other languages. [En savoir plus]
