Pentecost 2009: “All our work should begin with thanks!”

(04.06.2009) Chicago. It is Pentecost Sunday 2009, and Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber finds himself in Rosemount, near Chicago. This is where the Pentecost service is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM. From here it will be transmitted to North and South America via satellite. For the first time, the divine service will also be available through live audio-video streaming over the internet. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber chose this year’s Pentecost greeting from 1 Corinthians 15: 57: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” In a letter addressed to all congregations of the New Apostolic Church around the world, the Church leader writes: “Christ attained the greatest victory of all on Golgotha, namely the victory over death. Pentecost 2008: Recognising the signature of God

(12.05.2008) Berlin. For three days over the Pentecost weekend of 2008, Berlin served as the “capital” of the New Apostolic world. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber had invited all European Apostles to the German capital for the occasion. In the Pentecost service, which was translated into English at the altar - and into 20 other languages via mixing board - he appealed to the over one million divine service participants to recognise the “signature of God” in the present. “Recognising the Lord personally is an important task for each and every individual,” said the Chief Apostle. Pentecost 2008: Berlin Apostle Meeting brings Apostles to the same table

(12.05.2008) Berlin. With the exception of two Apostles, all European District Apostles and Apostles were able to take part in this year’s Apostle Meeting in Berlin. In his hour-long address, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber focused on the beatitudes recorded in the fifth chapter of Matthew in the Holy Scriptures. [En savoir plus]

(01.06.2007) Zürich/Hamburg. "I would like to wish each and every one of you a blessed feast of Pentecost. May the fullness of God's blessing flow today, and may everyone particularly experience God's love and kindness." It was with these words that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber began the Pentecost service 2007 in the Hamburg Congress Centre. His Pentecost message for all New Apostolic congregations around the world was taken from the gospel of John 14: 1: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.” [En savoir plus]

(01.06.2007) Hamburg. The festive concert in the Hamburg Congress Centre celebrating the visit of Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber and all European Apostles on the Saturday before Pentecost offered a very interesting musical program. The performers were the symphony orchestra of the New Apostolic Church Hamburg and the project choir of the New Apostolic Church of Northern Germany, under the direction of Jörg Michael Paul and Björn Leber, respectively. Pentecost divine service 2007: One spirit with the Lord!

(29.05.2007) Zurich/Hamburg. Pentecost 2007 is already in the past, but the Pentecost divine service in Hamburg, which was transmitted by satellite to some 8,000 New Apostolic congregations in over 70 countries throughout the world, is to have a lasting echo. A message from Apostle Paul to the congregation in Corinth was the basis of the Pentecost sermon delivered by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber: “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6: 17). The international Church leader emphasised: “Those who wish to remain united with the Lord must be one with Him by their very nature.” [En savoir plus]

Successful Pentecost concert in the Hamburg Congress Centre

(29.05.2007) Hamburg. Some 2,500 listeners expressed their unanimous enthusiasm by rewarding singers and instrumentalists with enduring, thunderous applause at the end of a performance they had put on in Hall 1 of the Hamburg Congress Centre. On the Saturday before Pentecost, the approximately 70-piece “Hamburg Orchestra” and the 100 members of the “Project choir of the New Apostolic Church of Northern Germany” had organised a concert to set the mood for Pentecost through music. “Do not let yourself be shaken!”

(27.05.2007) Hamburg. With a Pentecost greeting of particular kindness, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, appealed to his brethren in faith around the world: “Do not let yourself be shaken!” A deep faith in God and in the Lord Jesus will also help in difficult situations. (25.05.2007) Hamburg. It was with these words that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber rang in the European Apostle Meeting in Hamburg. All European Apostles assembled for a two-day conference in Hamburg prior to the Pentecost service which the international leader of the New Apostolic Church will conduct on Pentecost Sunday, 27 May 2007 in the Hamburg Congress Centre.
