Zurich. Already in April 2004 the leadership of the New Apostolic Church agreed to a common position on certain issues of sexual conduct (see our report). Taking special consideration of the globally diverse cultures in which the Church is active, the Church supports all societal efforts that afford special protection of the institutions of marriage and family.

Among others, the elaboration addresses issues such as premarital sex, cohabitation outside of the institution of marriage, adultery, and homosexuality. It is the aim of the Church's leadership to provide clear directives on conduct that the Church understands to be contrary to the will of God. In this manner New Apostolic Christians will receive support in making deci-sions for themselves in personal accountability toward God and themselves.

Following a report on the subject that appeared in the youth magazine "spirit" (see www.spirit-nak.de) at the start of this year, we are now publishing the official position of the New Apostolic Church here in the form of PDF-documents in English, German, French and Spanish.
