A prayer at the grave of the English Apostles

During the afternoon of their first session at the European District Apostle Meeting, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber and the European District Apostles made an excursion to Albury. This small town in the county of Surrey, some 50 kilometres outside of London, was the hub of the Catholic Apostolic movement at the start of the nineteenth century. Their gathering began with a divine service in the congregation of Camberley, where some 120 members and guests were happy to welcome the Chief Apostle and the District Apostles into their circle. Membership figures of the global Church as at the end of 2009

(03.05.2010) Zurich. Some 10.5 million people around the world profess the New Apostolic faith. This is approximately 400,000 members, or 3.7 percent, less than the previous year. The reason: in some countries (predominantly in Africa) too few deaths were accounted for over the years. An optimized design and additional features will also be introduced. With the removal of age restrictions, the service becomes usable for children, young adults, middle-aged adults, and seniors from all over the world. more ...

District Apostle Meeting concludes with numerous resolutions

(25.03.2010) Zurich/Dortmund. A number of District Apostles were still busy in various Project Group meetings up until Tuesday of this week. They had come to Germany over the previous week in order to participate in the first District Apostle Meeting of the year. The first topics up for discussion on Wednesday dealt with the Church’s activities in Asia, while the topics on the agenda for Thursday and Friday were of an international scope. The New Apostolic Church’s understanding of church and of Holy Communion featured prominently in the extensive deliberations of the meeting. “To believe means to leap upward!”

(22.03.2010) Zurich/Dortmund. The festive divine service of this past Sunday marked the close of the spring meeting of the international leadership of the New Apostolic Church. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, who had come to the large congregation of Herne-Wanne-Eickel together with 18 District Apostles and 11 District Apostle Helpers from around the world, explained his definition of belief to the over 1,000 attendees in the divine service. “To believe means to leap upward - to the Lord!” said the Church leader. more ...

Bischoff Verlag: Strategic Reorganization for 2015

(16.03.2010) Frankfurt. Bischoff Verlag, a publishing house belonging to the New Apostolic Church, is setting new objectives. Its new mission statement was presented to the company’s employees today: “We help people live their lives in accordance with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” The publishing house plans to introduce new product lines based on this philosophy in order to reach new target groups. more ...

Chief Apostle Visit Blessing for India

(05.03.2010) Zurich/Bangalore. A six day visit of Chief Apostle Leber to India began on Friday, February 19th, 2010. He arrived in Bangalore to join the District Apostles Latorcai, Andersen, Brinkmann, Hebeisen and District Apostle Helpers Woll and Dzur. After lunch the group left for the Bangalore Central Church, where the Indian Apostles and Bishops greeted them. The Chief Apostle delivered a spiritual address to the group, after which they divided into four groups for discussions with the Chief Apostle and the District Apostles in rotation. more ...

Pentecost 2010: Welcome to Cape Town

(26.02.2010) Zurich/Cape Town. This year’s Pentecost celebration will convene all presently active Apostles of the New Apostolic Church in Cape Town, South Africa. The international satellite transmission of a Pentecost concert and divine service will originate from there. Some 350 Apostles from many countries around the world are also anticipated at the International Apostles’ Meeting in the Cape Town Convention Centre. more ...
