District Apostle Urs Hebeisen now leads the New Apostolic Church in South East Asia

Bernd Koberstein is ordained a District Apostle of the New Apostolic Church

(12.01.2009) Frankfurt. The name of the new leader of the New Apostolic Church of Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland is Bernd Koberstein. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained him a District Apostle yesterday in Frankfurt. Before the ordination, the Chief Apostle discharged his predecessor in ministry, District Apostle Hagen Wend, into retirement with festive words. An Apostle for Guinea-Bissau and a Bishop for Portugal

In the presence of the large festive congregation, he went on to ordain an Apostle for the District Church of Guinea-Bissau and a Bishop for Portugal. District Church of the UK to be served from Hamburg

(10.11.2008) Hamburg. The New Apostolic Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland will be served from Hamburg starting in spring 2009. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber has asked the two District Apostles Leonard Kolb (USA) and Karlheinz Schumacher (Northern Germany) to realign the various areas of responsibility within the District Church. The District Apostle district encompasses the District Churches of Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay . Last Wednesday, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained the 59-year-old, who has served as an Apostle for nearly 20 years. Leonard Kolb is the new District Apostle for the USA

(13.10.2008) New York. Leonard R. Kolb (52) will from now on lead the New Apostolic Church USA as District Apostle. Prior to ordaining him, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber retired District Apostle Richard Freund (68) who had served for many years as a minister. “You have served the Lord faithfully for 50 years. For this I would like to thank you.” Some 1,000 participants had gathered in New York’s Tilles Center to witness the special act. Words of farewell in New York

Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, expressed words of farewell at the close of the two-day fall session of this year’s worldwide District Apostle Meeting in New York. These words of farewell applied to two different situations: to begin with, the Church leader commemorated the recently departed District Apostle Norberto Batista from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and all in attendance rose from their seats for a minute of silence. Then the focus turned to District Apostle Richard Freund (68), who was participating in his last such international conference.
