The “Novoapoštolská cirkev v Slovenskej republike” now has a presence on the internet

(02.04.2009) Zurich. As of yesterday, the New Apostolic Church in the Slovakian Republic has had its own internet presence. The new website serves its users in three languages, namely Slovakian, German, and English. It provides basic information about the Church, showcases current events, and publicises details on divine services throughout theSlovakian Republic. The New Apostolic Church of East Africa soon to become independent

(19.03.2009) Zurich. The three East African District Churches of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will be amalgamated into a single District Apostle district this very month. The current District Apostle Helper Shadreck Lubasi is to become the new District Apostle and lead the Church in this region. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, international Church leader, will conduct a divine service in Kampala, Uganda to this end on Sunday, 29 March 2009. more ...

New Project Group “Children’s Teaching Materials” begins its work

(19.03.2009) Zurich. It was the unanimous resolution of the District Apostle Meeting to re-establish the Project Group “Children’s Teaching Materials”, and staff it with new members. In so doing, two key conditions were to be taken into account: the new members of the Project Group were to represent each of the world’s continents, and all of them would need to be able to communicate in the English language. Optimism 77 days before the European Youth Day

(06.03.2009) Düsseldorf. The New Apostolic Church is planning a European Youth Day on which many thousands of young people have been invited to the Düsseldorf fair grounds in May 2009. With only a few weeks to go before the big event, the atmosphere is charged with optimism and anticipation. The first press conference announcing the event took place yesterday in Düsseldorf. District Apostle Armin Brinkmann opened the conference with the statement: “Optimism in times of crisis”. He promised the guests from various churches and the media: “These young Christians will stand out and be noticed.” more ...

Chief Apostle visits congregations in Johannesburg, Mocuba, and Maputo

The Standard Bank Arena in Johannesburg was filled to capacity when Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, stepped to the altar at 5:00 PM on Saturday, 14 February 2009. Accompanying him on this occasion were District Apostles Urs Hebeisen (South East Asia) and Jean-Luc Schneider (France). In the course of the service, the Church leader ordained a new Apostle for the area of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the care of the District Church of France. more ...

The New Apostolic Church’s “Ecumenism” Project Group has a new member

(17.02.2009) Zurich. Paul Imhof is the newest member of the “Ecumenism” Project Group of the New Apostolic Church. The 61-year-old Bishop from Switzerland has been appointed to the group to replace Bishop Hanspeter Nydegger, who retired from ministry in October 2006. The Project Group’s chairman, Apostle Volker Kühnle, festively presented the Chief Apostle’s letter of appointment to Bishop Imhof by commission of the Chief Apostle, and welcomed him with warm and inviting words. more ...

Official transfer of the congregations in the United Kingdom to the care of NAC Northern Germany

“Take a Look!” - a photo contest to promote the EYD of the New Apostolic Church

(10.02.2009) Düsseldorf. “Take a look!” is the name of the international photo contest for the European Youth Day of the New Apostolic Church, which is scheduled to take place in Düsseldorf from 21 to 24 May 2009. The company EPSON-Germany was secured as a partner for this campaign, and will award interesting prizes for the best submissions. Anatolij Budnik ordained Apostle for the Ukraine
