Closing divine service in Düsseldorf: “What is the prime focus of your life?”
(25.05.2009) Düsseldorf. Some 46,000 people, most of them young people between the ages of 14 and 30, attended the concluding divine service of the European Youth Day 2009 sponsored by the New Apostolic Church. “What is the prime focus of your life? What is your top priority?” asked the international Church leader, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, as he addressed the large crowd assembled around him in the LTU-Arena. His four responses to this question were: to please the Lord, to serve the Lord, to serve as a blessing for others, and finally to participate in the day of Christ’s return. more ...
Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber sends Pentecost greetings around the whole world!
(19.05.2009) Zurich. Outside the American continents, this year’s Pentecost divine service will once again play out in the familiar circle of each home congregation, something that has not happened for quite some time. This year, the Pentecost divine service conducted by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will be transmitted beyond national borders by satellite to congregations throughout North and South America. The international Church leader is expected in Rosemont near Chicago (USA). The divine service will take place in the Rosemont Theatre and will be transmitted to Canada, the USA, and a number of countries in South America. more ...
Greater emphasis on internal communication
(14.05.2009) Zurich. “It has become necessary to expand our internal communications on account of the increased needs and challenges we face,” says Peter Johanning, spokesman for the New Apostolic Church International, who has since last fall been working closely with Andreas Grossglauser. The 44-year-old comes from Bern, and has in past years worked as a communications consultant and fundraiser in various mandates serving the social services and capital investments sector. more ...
A retirement and an ordination for the Church in Peru
(30.04.2009) Zurich. Last weekend Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber conducted two divine services in Central America. On Saturday, 25 April 2009, a festive congregation gathered for a divine service with him in Managua (Nicaragua), and on Sunday, 26 April 2009, the believers assembled to hear the Chief Apostle serve in Panama City, Panama. During the Sunday service, the international Church leader retired Apostle Juan Carlos Fernández, after expressing thanks to the 65-year-old for his 47 years of active ministry in the New Apostolic Church. more ...
Coordination Group with a new project manager
(23.04.2009) Zurich. “The project manager is the nerve centre between the Church leadership and the Project Groups and Work Groups, and in this function is extremely important for efficient preliminary work and processing of decisions by the Church leadership,” says District Apostle Wilfried Klingler, chairman of the Coordination Group. He collaborates closely with Dr. Daniel Brenner (47), who has been working as project manager for the New Apostolic Church International as of last October. more ...
The Easter Morning
(12.04.2009) It was still very early on this first day of the week. The grave had been under guard over the Sabbath right up until this morning. Along with some other women, Mary Magdalene made her way to the tomb with the intention of embalming the body of Jesus according to Jewish custom. She was worried about how they would manage to roll the heavy stone away from the entrance to the tomb. more ...

New District Apostle district of East Africa established

(02.04.2009) Zurich. As of yesterday, the New Apostolic Church in the Slovakian Republic has had its own internet presence. The new website serves its users in three languages, namely Slovakian, German, and English. It provides basic information about the Church, showcases current events, and publicises details on divine services throughout theSlovakian Republic. This marks the first time the NAC has published information on the web in the Slovakian language. more ...
The New Apostolic Church of East Africa soon to become independent
(19.03.2009) Zurich. The three East African District Churches of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will be amalgamated into a single District Apostle district this very month. The current District Apostle Helper Shadreck Lubasi is to become the new District Apostle and lead the Church in this region. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, international Church leader, will conduct a divine service in Kampala, Uganda to this end on Sunday, 29 March 2009. more ...
