“Let us keep our eyes on the invisible”

It was an emotional divine service in Nazareth, the city of Jesus near the Sea of Tiberias: Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber and all the District Apostles and District Apostle Helpers of the world had come to the jam-packed congregation. First copy of the Catechism presented to the Chief Apostle

(12.10.2012) Zurich/Herzliya. The first print of the New Apostolic Catechism is in the hands of Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber: the international Church leader was only too happy to pick up a copy of the extensive work. This brings a year of intensive work to a close, as at least the German-language version of the Catechism is to be published by mid-December. The work is also scheduled for publication in a number of other languages in January of next year. more ...

New training programs in Africa

New training programs for ministers and musicians in the congregations—these are only two of a whole series of interesting items on the agenda of the District Apostle Meeting Africa. All District Apostles and Helpers who work on the African continent participate in this meeting. The first item on the agenda was a report on the new Communion wafer bakery of the New Apostolic Church in Lusaka, Zambia. more ...

“My message for Thanksgiving: work for Christ!”

(08.10.2012) Zurich/Duisburg. “Every day let us do something for Christ! That is my message on this Thanksgiving Sunday.” It was with this striking statement in the Sunday divine service that the international Church leader, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, addressed the many thousand who attended the divine service in Duisburg and those in the congregations linked by satellite transmission. A short visit of thanks to the interpreters

(01.10.2012) Zurich/Frankfurt. During the divine service for the European ministers of the New Apostolic Church, nearly 30 interpreters were busy translating the sermon into their mother tongues. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, who conducted this divine service in the congregation of Frankfurt West, surprised them with a visit after the service. Chief Apostle: “The kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

(30.09.2012) Zurich/Frankfurt. All European ministers of the New Apostolic Church—both active and retired—were invited to a divine service for ministers on 30 September 2012. This service was conducted by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber (65) in the congregation of Frankfurt West. His sermon was transmitted by satellite to many hundreds of congregations throughout Europe. Pentecost 2012: Jean-Luc Schneider appointed Chief Apostle Helper

(27.05.2012) Zurich/Cologne. After many years, the New Apostolic Church once again has a Chief Apostle Helper. In the Pentecost service on 27 May 2012 in Cologne Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber appointed the French District Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider with this new commission. He will in future provide support to the Chief Apostle and also take on some of his travels. “The transition is to proceed in as continuous a manner as possible,” said the Chief Apostle. He himself is already looking toward his own retirement, he explained, and is working early to address the matter of his succession. more ...

Pentecost 2012: A high point of faith

(27.05.2012) Cologne/Zurich. It was a high point of the church year for New Apostolic Christians around the world: Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber conducted the Pentecost divine service in Cologne on 27 May 2012. The spiritual leader of all New Apostolic Christians called out to the believers with a special Pentecost message: “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” The sermon revolved around the question as to how children of God are to lead their lives in our time. What is important is to keep faith, always be willing to make peace, subordinate our will to God’s will, and draw strength for daily life from the resurrection of Christ. more ...

One of the items in the program for the Saturday of the Pentecost weekend in Cologne was a meeting of the European Apostles A total of 45 Apostles from Europe, as well as all the District Apostles and District Apostle Helpers of the world, had assembled for this occasion. Pentecost 2012: Bring on the Sunday!

This year the pivotal Pentecost divine service conducted by international Church leader Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber is being organised by the District Church of North Rhine-Westphalia.
