Chief Apostle officially ushers in the anniversary year 2013

Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, chose the New Year’s Day divine service in his native city of Herford, Germany to officially usher in the 150-year anniversary of the Church: “The year 2013 is to be a year of profession!” In connection with this he referred to the great accomplishments of previous generations, without which the Church, as it stands today, would be inconceivable. more ...

Bernd Koberstein is the new District Apostle for France

(24.12.2012) Mulhouse/Zurich. An appeal from the new District Apostle Bernd Koberstein to the New Apostolic congregations in France: “Please give me the chance to love you!” It was at the end of a divine service in Mulhouse that Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber entrusted him with this new task. The previous District Apostle Helper Jean-Luc Schneider had been appointed Chief Apostle Helper on Pentecost of this year and will now need to dedicate more of his attention to his international tasks. more ...

Official introduction of the New Apostolic Catechism!

(05.12.2012) Zurich. “For the first time ever, a systematic description of the New Apostolic doctrine has been developed. Naturally there have already been other works describing significant elements of the New Apostolic faith […] Nevertheless there have been increasing calls for a more comprehensive description of our doctrine.” So it says on the first page of the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church. A 90-minute interview with the Chief Apostle recorded on nacworld

(03.12.2012) Zurich/Hamburg. After a 90-minute interview in front of a running camera, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber comes to the following positive conclusion: “I found the questions very interesting. They reflect current issues and address what people are generally thinking and feeling.” Prior to the interview, nacworld members had submitted nearly 200 questions to the leader of the New Apostolic Church. Sudan has an Apostle once again

(28.11.2012) Juba/Zurich. The New Apostolic Church in Sudan once again has an Apostle: the hitherto Bishop Morris Ukuni (46) received his new ministry last Sunday. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber had travelled to Juba especially for this purpose. In the central church in Munuki, Juba he conducted a festive divine service for more than 1,800 assembled members and guests. more ...

Two new Apostles for Brazil

(07.11.2012) Zurich/Recife. The names of the two newly ordained Apostles for the District Church of Brazil are José Antonio Bonaite (53) and Reinaldo Milczuk (51). Both of them received their new ministries in a divine service conducted by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber in Recife over the past weekend. Jürg Zbinden is the name of the new Apostle for Ticino and Italy

(30.10.2012) Lugano/Zurich. “But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased” (Hebrews 13: 16). Such was the Bible text which the international Church leader, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, used as the foundation for the divine service he conducted in Lugano, Ticino on the last Sunday of October. The District Church of Switzerland was given a new Apostle for its work in the southern portion of the country, but Jürg Zbinden will in future also be responsible for the work of the Church in Italy. more ...

There have been some changes of staff in the pastoral care work of the New Apostolic Church in Russia: last Sunday, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained two new Apostles and two Bishops for the District Church of Russia in a divine service in St. Petersburg. However, two tried and tested servants of God also retired with Apostles Vladimir Danilov and Alexander Kondrashov. Tshitshi Tshisekedi to be ordained a District Apostle for South East Congo

(17.10.2012) Zurich. Tshitshi Tshisekedi, who currently serves as a District Apostle Helper, will receive the District Apostle ministry for the District Church of South East Congo in January of next year. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber announced this news in the course of the International District Apostle Meeting in Herzliya, Israel. District Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider will thereby transfer responsibility for the care of one of the largest New Apostolic District Churches in the world in order to dedicate himself increasingly to his tasks as a Chief Apostle Helper. more ...
