Pentecost 2011: Walking in the light of the Holy Spirit
(13.06.2011) Dresden. “Let us walk in the light of the Holy Spirit” – it was with this message that the international leader of the New Apostolic Church, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, addressed the congregations around the world in the Pentecost service 2011. Traditionally, the feast of Pentecost is celebrated in a big way in the New Apostolic Church, and on this occasion all 53 European Apostles gathered in Dresden. Pentecost 2011: All European Apostles gather in Dresden

All European Apostles will be in Dresden this weekend in order to enjoy this year’s Pentecost service together with Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber in the Congress Centre of the city on the Elbe. Those coming from Russia, Spain, and France will have a longer distance to cover. The Apostle Meeting on Saturday morning will be translated into French, Spanish, and Russian. more ...
Pentecost 2011 in Dresden – A great celebration for the Church
(26.05.2011) Zurich/Dresden. Once again the day of Pentecost promises to be a great Church celebration. This year, the Saxon capital of Dresden will host the New Apostolic feast of Pentecost. At 10:00 AM on Sunday, 12 June, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will begin the special divine service, which will be transmitted by satellite to more than 70 countries around the world. Sri Lanka: Families return to their villages
(25.05.2011) Zurich. “We are grateful for any kind of support, both spiritual and humanitarian.” It is with these words that District Apostle Helper John Sobottka writes to Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber as he describes the situation of the New Apostolic congregations in the north of Sri Lanka. In the meantime, help has arrived for those New Apostolic families who have returned to their destroyed villages after the civil war. These families, who are part of the country’s Tamil minority, have survived for years under terrible living conditions. And now they find themselves left with nothing. more ...

District Apostle Armin Brinkmann now leads the New Apostolic Church in the Netherlands
(16.05.2011) Zurich/Dortmund. “An intensive week lies ahead of me in Holland.” So writes Armin Brinkmann from Dortmund, who is the new District Apostle for the Netherlands. On Wednesday evening he is scheduled to conduct a divine service in Alkmaar, the home congregation of Theodoor de Bruijn, who was given a well-deserved retirement last Sunday after having served for forty years in ministry. On Thursday evening the new District Apostle will be in Sittard, and on Saturday afternoon he has invited all rectors and their wives to a special divine service. He goes on to write: “On Sunday there is a divine service scheduled in Tilburg, and then the journey takes me back to North Rhine-Westphalia.” more ...
European District Apostles discuss strategies for strengthening the congregations
(12.05.2011) Zurich. Twice each year the European District Apostles gather for a meeting, primarily for the purposes of bringing one another up to date on various matters and coordinating their work. In this conference their discussions centred on detailed strategies for strengthening the New Apostolic congregations in Europe. (19.04.2011) Zurich/Hamburg. On Friday 15 April 2011 novelist Ian McEwan opened a new web resource to the general public. This website, sponsored by the Leverhulme Foundation, is hosted by University College London. This academic institution was founded in 1826 in Bloomsbury, a part of London that was being converted from waste land to a favoured residential quarter. For the first time people who were not members of the Church of England were given a chance of acquiring higher degrees at an English university. more ...
Meeting in Rome
(18.04.2011) Zurich. A meeting with Cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, was on the agenda of the New Apostolic Work Group “Contacts with other Denominations and Religions” as they visited Rome. The discussion partners discussed matters of mutual interest for a good hour. The New Apostolic Church is thereby continuing its dialogue with the Catholic Church. more ...
