Apostle Théophile Mundele Bayungasa has passed away

Ndana/Congo. After a long, bravely endured illness, Apostle Théophile Mundele Bayungasa passed away at the age of 54. The funeral took place on 14 January 2006 in the central church in Inkisi, in the province of Bas-Congo.

Apostle Mundele Bayungasa was born on 30 December 1951 in Ndana, Democratic Republic of Congo. He was made a deacon in 1978, and had worked as an apostle in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 1993. In his letter of condolence, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber related that Apostle Mundele Bayungasa had been born into a believing Christian family. In his more than 27 years of active ministry in the New Apostolic Church he had served the Lord in great blessing with holy zeal and his whole heart.

Apostle Théophile Mundele Bayungasa leaves behind a wife and seven children.

The New Apostolic Church numbers some 2.5 million members in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
