Basle. "Do good deeds and practise love" - so runs this year's motto for the New Apostolic Church Switzerland. This motto is to be reinforced by way of various larger and smaller events scheduled to take place throughout the year on the congregational level. At the end of January 2006, Shepherd Heinz Jenne, rector of the New Apostolic Church in Kleinbasel presented a cheque for 8,000 Swiss francs that had been raised for charity.

The money has been earmarked for an organisation known as "Schwarzer Peter", which provides social services to disadvantaged youth.
