District Apostle Urs Hebeisen now leads the New Apostolic Church in South East Asia
(20.01.2009) Yogyakarta/Zurich. An era has come to an end: for 23 years, District Apostle Alfons Tansahtikno was responsible for the New Apostolic Church in Indonesia. As of Sunday, 18 January 2009 he will enjoy a richly deserved retirement. Bernd Koberstein is ordained a District Apostle of the New Apostolic Church
(12.01.2009) Frankfurt. The name of the new leader of the New Apostolic Church of Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland is Bernd Koberstein. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained him a District Apostle yesterday in Frankfurt. Before the ordination, the Chief Apostle discharged his predecessor in ministry, District Apostle Hagen Wend, into retirement with festive words. The 25-year anniversary of the New Apostolic Church in Angola – Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber would not be deterred from conducting a festive divine service on Sunday, 30 November 2008 in the country’s capital of Luanda. His message to the congregation of approximately 10,000 was: “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1: 5). New Apostolic Church Russia expresses condolences on the death of Patriarch Alexy II

On behalf of all New Apostolic congregations in Russia, District Apostle Helper Victor Bezgans, president of the New Apostolic Church in Russia, wrote a letter of condolence to the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. In it he expressed his sympathy over the death of the Patriarch of Moscow and all of Russia: “Alexy II was an outstanding spiritual leader of the Orthodox Church.” more ...
Chief Apostle ordains ministers in West Africa
(24.11.2008) Zurich. Benin and Togo are two neighbouring states on the west coast of Africa. There the work of the New Apostolic Church is directed from Germany, where the New Apostolic District Church of Southern Germany is responsible. During his trip to West Africa from 13 to 19 November 2008, international Church leader Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber ordained several Apostles and Bishops for the two countries. An Apostle for Guinea-Bissau and a Bishop for Portugal
(14.11.2008) Lisbon. On Sunday, November 9, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber conducted a divine service in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. In the presence of the large festive congregation, he went on to ordain an Apostle for the District Church of Guinea-Bissau and a Bishop for Portugal. The Portuguese Apostle Manuel Luiz and his wife Fatima also received a blessing on the occasion of their silver wedding anniversary. more ...
District Church of the UK to be served from Hamburg
(10.11.2008) Hamburg. The New Apostolic Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland will be served from Hamburg starting in spring 2009. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber has asked the two District Apostles Leonard Kolb (USA) and Karlheinz Schumacher (Northern Germany) to realign the various areas of responsibility within the District Church. Last Sunday, the members of the United Kingdom were informed about the change by way of a letter from their current District Apostle. more ...
