On his website “ad fontes” Folkmar Schiek has publicly called upon the Work Group “History of the New Apostolic Church” (WG HNAC) to provide source references in the article “Perfecting the Ordinances—Historical Observations on the Ministry of Evangelist in the Catholic Apostolic Church” (OF 8/2007). A whale tooth in Fiji

(02.07.2007) Sydney. A blessed weekend in Sydney, Australia ended with a festive divine service in the Hills Centre on Sunday. On Monday, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber travelled onward to the Fiji Islands. Before going to the hotel he visited the village of Natalau, where a divine service is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. The Chief of the Village, who is Muslim, welcomed the guest of honour with a traditional “Fiji Welcome.” more ...

Arriving in Sydney after 28 hours

(29.06.2007) Sydney. Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber is currently in Australia. His trip from Hamburg to Sydney took a total of 28 hours. Yesterday he arrived safe and sound at 8:00 PM local time in the largest metropolis on the Australian continent. On Tuesday the Chief Apostle will continue his trip to the Fiji Islands and then set off for Indonesia. more ...

Pentecost 2007 is already in the past, but the Pentecost divine service in Hamburg, which was transmitted by satellite to some 8,000 New Apostolic congregations in over 70 countries throughout the world, is to have a lasting echo. A message from Apostle Paul to the congregation in Corinth was the basis of the Pentecost sermon delivered by Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber: “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6: 17). Successful Pentecost concert in the Hamburg Congress Centre

Some 2,500 listeners expressed their unanimous enthusiasm by rewarding singers and instrumentalists with enduring, thunderous applause at the end of a performance they had put on in Hall 1 of the Hamburg Congress Centre. On the Saturday before Pentecost, the approximately 70-piece “Hamburg Orchestra” and the 100 members of the “Project choir of the New Apostolic Church of Northern Germany” had organised a concert to set the mood for Pentecost through music. more ...

District Church of Zambia takes over the Church’s work in Zimbabwe

(29.05.2007) Johannesburg. With a festive divine service at the end of April 2007, District Apostle Johann R. Kitching, the leader of the New Apostolic Church of South East Africa, handed over the official leadership of the country of Zimbabwe to his colleague, District Apostle Charles S. Ndandula. The District Church of Zambia has thus assumed the organisational and pastoral care work of this neighbouring African republic, which is home to some 12.5 million people. more ...
