Ten-year anniversary of Rainbow-NAC: “You are not alone!”

Last weekend a total of 70 homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual New Apostolic Christians gathered in Saarbrücken to mark the ten-year anniversary - and the 27th international meeting - of Rainbow-NAC. District Apostle Bernd Koberstein of the District Church of Hesse/Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland attended the meeting in the Saarbrücken-Central church as the representative of the New Apostolic Church. Living in dignity and security
(09.10.2009) Dortmund. The New Apostolic relief organisation known as “NAK-karitativ” has a new website as of today. The new site provides an in-depth look at a “relief and development organisation of the New Apostolic Church in Germany, which initiates or supports projects and aid activities independently or in cooperation with churches and competent partners all over the world with the objective of enabling people to live in dignity and security.” For the first time, an English translation has also been made available. more ...
Aid begins to arrive in the disaster areas of the Philippines

District Apostle Urs Hebeisen, who represents the New Apostolic Church in the Philippines, reports that emergency aid from the Church has begun to arrive in the disaster areas of the Philippines. Tropical storm “Ketsana” has caused the most severe flooding in forty years in the capital city of Manila and throughout the northern provinces. Thousands of people have been affected. With the help of the New Apostolic relief organisation known as “NAK-karitativ”, which is based in Germany, the first manifestations of aid have already begun to arrive in the Philippines. more ...
Many dead in the wake of natural disasters in the South Pacific
(05.10.2009) Zurich. A week after the terrible natural disasters in the South Pacifica, the full extent of the damages remains unclear. One thing that is already certain is that many people have lost their lives in Samoa, the Philippines, and Indonesia. District Apostle Leonard Kolb, who is responsible for the eastern part of Samoa, informs us in a preliminary emergency report that a great deal of damage has been done in the region, and that the situation is critical. more ...
Church building in Trondheim to make way for tunnel construction
(05.10.2009) Trondheim. The New Apostolic congregation in Trondheim, Norway will have to vacate its church building temporarily. The city plans to start work on a tunnel project in the location of the church. To make up for the inconvenience, the congregation will receive an interim church which they will be permitted to occupy in spring 2010, when the tunnel construction is scheduled to begin. more ...

The fall meeting of the District Apostles of the New Apostolic Church in Zurich moved plans for the release of the Catechism a good deal forward: the District Apostle Meeting (DAM) resolved details with regard to the information roadmap and introduction concept for the project. Since there is an International Apostle Meeting scheduled to take place on Pentecost of next year, the leading Church ministers will be the first to be informed about the essential elements of the Catechism. more ...
“African Joy” – a magazine for New Apostolic households
(17.09.2009) Zurich. "African Joy" is a magazine that is currently published twice a year in the New Apostolic District Churches of Cape, East Africa, South East Africa, and Zambia. The circulation of the first issue amounted to some 394,000 copies. The second issue, which is scheduled to appear this month, will reach over 600,000 households. Thus the wish already expressed years ago by Chief Apostle Richard Fehr is coming closer and closer to reality, namely to make a Church magazine available to all members of the New Apostolic Church! more ...
Retirement, ordination, and Youth Day: a weekend in Argentina
(04.09.2009) Buenos Aires. Ezeiza is a small city about 35 kilometres outside of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. In the Espacio Canning in the city’s Centro de Convenciones, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, international leader of the New Apostolic Church, conducted a divine service on Saturday evening and a youth gathering on Sunday during the last weekend in August. In the process, some 43,000 believers from the District Apostle district of Norberto Passuni witnessed the well-earned retirement of Apostle Vicente Teti (66), who had served God’s work faithfully for many years. more ...
Worldwide prayers for peace 2009

It has now been several years that the New Apostolic Church has participated in the worldwide prayers for peace which traditionally take place each year during the month of September. The World Council of Churches (ÖRK/WCC/COE), with its seat in Geneva, is calling upon all churches to take part in this initiative of the United Nations. In UN-Resolution 55/282 from 2001, the 21st day of September was chosen to mark the International Day of Prayer for Peace. more ...

(10.08.2009) Frankfurt/Luxembourg. “Häerzlech Wëllkomm – Herzlich Willkommen – Bienvenue – Welcome”: the new website of the New Apostolic Church of Luxembourg is not miserly when it comes to greetings of welcome. After a great deal of preparatory work, the first homepage of the New Apostolic Church Luxembourg went live on 6 August 2009. In a letter to the congregations - written by the responsible Apostle Clement Haeck - it says: “Thus we are finally tapping into an opportunity that has already existed within our Church for many years, and which has long been used by many - both inside and outside the Church - to provide visitors with both general and more specific information about our Church around the world.” more ...
