For years the international website of the New Apostolic Church has presented an exhaustive inventory of current announcements and reports from the “New Apostolic world.” As of 1 August 2006 this online presentation will be redesigned: new contents will be added, and the site will be updated with a more modern layout. European Youth Day 2009: Successful contract negotiations with the Düsseldorf Fair

(18.05.2006) Düsseldorf. Contract negotiations with the Düsseldorf Fair have been concluded successfully—the European Youth Day (EYD) in May 2009 will take place in Düsseldorf. Thus the date for the European Youth Day has also been set: from 21 to 24 May 2009, all young people from the District Churches of Europe will be invited to Düsseldorf. [more]

New English-language hymnal nears completion in Cape Town

(02.05.2006) Zurich. The new German-language hymnal of the New Apostolic Church is only a little over a year old, and now a new English-language hymnal is nearing completion as well. It has been developed as a collaborative effort of music specialists from the New Apostolic District Churches of Australia, Canada, Cape, South East Africa, USA, and Zambia. If all goes according to schedule, the new hymnal will be introduced into the congregations by the end of 2007. [more]

Seminar for ministers: The pastoral care visit – Significance and execution

In addition to the proclamation of God’s word, it is among the central tasks of God’s servants. Accordingly, it is very important for them to know how to carry out pastoral care visits. A visit to the Catholic Church’s World Youth Day office

(26.04.2006) Cologne. Hermann-Josef Johanns is the director of the Catholic Church’s World Youth Day office in Cologne. Representatives from the New Apostolic Church of North Rhine-Westphalia met with him on 26 April 2006. They are also members of a work group responsible for the organisation and preparation of the New Apostolic Church’s European Youth Day in 2009. [more]

European Youth Day 2009 to take place in Düsseldorf

(31.03.2006) Zurich. The New Apostolic Church’s European Youth Day 2009 will likely take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. The European District Apostles’ Meeting has appointed District Apostle Armin Brinkmann, president of the District Church of North Rhine-Westphalia, to make all the necessary preparations. Thus the Church has clearly made the decision to proceed with the organisation of this large event! [more]

European Youth Day 2009: First preparatory meeting in Düsseldorf

(15.03.2006) Zurich. The New Apostolic Church is expecting some 50,000 participants in the event of a European youth day in 2009. The event would consist of three days, including a festive divine service with Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber. The representatives in charge of the youth from each of the European District Churches gathered in Düsseldorf for their first preparatory meeting in mid-March. [more]

Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber travels to Manila

(08.02.2006) Hamburg. On Thursday, 9 February 2006, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber, the highest representative of the international New Apostolic Church, will set off on yet another journey. This time, his divine service schedule will lead him to the Philippines. More than 20 apostles from seven countries will also gather there for an Apostle Meeting. [more]

(08.01.2006) Berlin. For the first time in his ministry as the leader of the New Apostolic Church, Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber will conduct a divine service in Berlin, during which he will grant Apostle Sieghard Behr, who has been active for many years, a well-deserved retirement. [more]

Tuesday, 24 January 2006: Information evening via satellite

On Tuesday evening, 24 January 2006, the New Apostolic Church will introduce a new chapter in its communication policy: an information evening will be broadcast by satellite to a specially invited audience. The chief apostle and district apostles agreed on this initiative during last October's District Apostles' Meeting in Zurich. [more]
